Outstanding!! Super cute ambiance and excellent service. We went with a larger group (reservations recommended) and we tried about 40% of the menu. Everything was delicious! The Chef came to check on us...she is celiac and confirmed that the fryer is safe and most dishes can be made celiac safe with GF bread, separate utensils, etc. We also tried a few drinks on the menu, all were imaginative and tasty. Cannot recommend this local, small business enough.

A Hidden Gem in Surprise with Style, Substance, and Seriously Good Eats Quench Tap and Tapas is one of those rare neighborhood finds that blends ambiance, craftsmanship, and culinary creativity in all the right ways. From the moment you walk in, the space invites you to relax, connect, and savor. There are six distinct seating areas, each with their own personality—whether you’re settling into a high-top for drinks, sinking into plush contemporary chairs, or lounging with friends in the cozy corner outfitted with couches and loveseats. The thoughtful layout breaks up the space nicely, creating intimate nooks that feel warm and inviting. Design details abound: A contemporary tin ceiling pays homage to vintage style, while polished concrete floors and oil-lit candles on each table enhance the upscale, cozy vibe. A tasteful decorative wall separates diners from the hostess station, and the bar anchors the room with its clean lines and genuinely welcoming, neighborhood feel. My girlfriend Jodi and I started with drinks—her classic Manhattan was perfectly balanced and beautifully presented. I opted for a local coffee porter that was rich, roasty, and served in a tall, chilled glass that elevated the experience. As for the food... this place knows how to deliver on the promise of tapas done right. We shared three standout dishes: Back-end Shrimp with Mango Sauce – Juicy, tender shrimp with a tangy tropical kick. Beet Salad with Flat Iron Steak – This vibrant dish starts with a bed of organic spring mix, topped with perfectly steamed golden and red beets, pistachios, and juicy mandarin oranges. We opted to add sliced flat iron steak, which was cooked to a tender medium-rare and added a savory depth that complemented the sweetness of the beets beautifully. The menu also offers shrimp or chicken as protein add-ons, giving diners a great way to customize their salad and turn it into a more substantial shareable—or a satisfying meal on its own. Parmesan Truffle Fries – A decadent indulgence with white truffle oil, black truffle salt, and a parmesan herb mix that had us reaching back for more. The garlic aioli was delicious, though we wished there had been just a bit more. When I asked for ketchup as a backup (I know, I know—truffle fries purists, forgive me), our server kindly let us know everything here is house-made, and ketchup just isn’t part of the menu. Fair enough—and honestly, it speaks to their commitment to quality. From start to finish, the experience was delightful. The service was attentive without being overbearing, and the entire atmosphere made us want to linger longer. Jodi and I are always on the hunt for new spots, and Quench Tap and Tapas is one we’ll absolutely return to when we’re back in this corner of Surprise. A neighborhood gem with heart and flavor—don’t miss it.

Dinner with Mrs. V. I discovered this unique mom & pop tapas eatery with a twist on Google after a lengthy search for restaurants in the Surprise area. Upon arrival were greeted and seated immediately by our server Cheryl. This place has a very interesting chill vibe. Cheryl was very welcoming, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable when I asked her questions concerning their menu and the restaurant concept, which is an American spin on a tapas restaurant. Cheryl’s menu recommendations were on point. Everything that leaves this scratch made kitchen is extraordinarily well plated, presented and absolutely delicious! After we finished our meal, Chef Angie visited our table. She was very engaging and gracious. We will definitely be back! Highly recommend!! Mark Voykin

Third time here for us. Quench is such a great local place owned by locals! Everyone is friendly, the food is top notch and the service is outstanding. Atmosphere is perfect for a date night for the first one or an old married couple like us. There really is nothing else like Quench in the west valley

Our “Quench taps and tapas” experience was top notch! The food was superb, environment was great... it’s like an adult restaurant only so it’s actually a very quiet and can be a romantic place. Service is 5 stars... Chef is the owner, husband helps in serving and our server was a very sweet lady. So, it’s a family owned and they are happy for customers supporting small business. We ordered Stuffed mushroom, flat bread, spicy shrimp with calamari and for the wine, we had the malbec. All tasty food! We will definitely recommend to our friends @ Sun City Festival Community. Hidden gem indeed!!!

This place is a gem! We came on a Saturday night to amazing food, great atmosphere/ambience, and comfortable seating with cushy chairs. The service was amazing from our server, Cheryl, to the bartender, Candice. The chef and co-owner, Angie, came out to each table to ensure customer satisfaction as well as co-owner, Jeff. What a wonderful experience! We will be back for sure!

Absolutely phenomenal food, drinks, and service! Got the lavender marg, the honey bee, another fruity drink that was great but we can’t remember the name of it (lol), steak and frites, sweet and spicy shrimp and calamari, and some tomatoes and burrata and everything was so good! Can’t believe we got so lucky to be basically the only table in there on a Tuesday night. So happy to have found an amazing local family owned spot!! Don’t pass up this place!
